APHASIA - BE PATIENT

Working with Stroke Hub Wales, we were asked to develop a campaign that promotes effective conversation between clinicians/the public and people with Aphasia. We were challenged to demonstrate the power of graphic communication to transform lives. The public in particular have to take on board the fact that dealing with an Aphasic patient takes longer and so they must not get irritated or frustrated as that can make the person feel more self-conscious of their speech disability.  This ultimately lead me to create an easy to recognise logo marque specifically for Aphasia and the campaigns slogan, “Slow down listen, be patient” which has been reiterated throughout the campaign.

APHASIA - BE PATIENT

Gan weithio gyda Hwb Strôc Cymru, gofynnwyd i ni ddatblygu ymgyrch sy'n hyrwyddo sgyrsiau effeithiol rhwng clinigwyr/y cyhoedd a phobl ag Affasia. Cawsom ein herio i ddangos grym cyfathrebu graffig o ran trawsnewid bywydau. Rhaid i aelodau'r cyhoedd yn arbennig dderbyn y ffaith bod angen mwy o amser i ddelio â chlaf ag Affasia ac felly rhaid iddynt beidio â chynhyrfu neu deimlo'n rhwystredig gan y gall hynny wneud i'r person deimlo'n fwy hunanymwybodol o'i anabledd lleferydd. Yn y pen draw, penderfynais greu nod logo hawdd ei adnabod yn benodol ar gyfer Affasia a'r slogan, sef "Slow down, listen, be patient" a gafodd ei ailbwysleisio ym mhob rhan o'r ymgyrch.

SCIENCE & THE SHROUD

For my Final Major Project I set out the challenge of communicating the Shroud of Turin’s authenticity.  The Shroud of Turin is a 14ft piece of linen cloth that bares an image of a man who has been visibly scourged, capped with a crown of thorns and crucified.  Many believe it to be the authentic burial cloth of Jesus whilst there are millions who doubt its authenticity.

My FMP challenged me to gain interest back to the Shroud by creating a branded exhibition for the Holy Relic.  I created a series of Augmented Reality posters revealing information beyond what our eye could see, mimicking a point in history where a French photographer inverted a photograph of the Shroud and uncovered details that had been hidden for centuries.

SCIENCE & THE SHROUD

Ar gyfer fy Mhrosiect Mawr Terfynol, cyflwynais yr her o gyfleu dilysrwydd Amwisg Turin. Darn 14 troedfedd o frethyn lliain yw Amwisg Turin â delwedd o ddyn sy'n amlwg wedi cael ei fflangellu, â choron drain ar ei ben ac wedi'i groeshoelio. Cred sawl un mai dyma frethyn claddu gwreiddiol yr Iesu, ond mae miliynau yn amau ei ddilysrwydd.

Gwnaeth fy Mhrosiect Mawr Terfynol fy herio i ail-greu diddordeb yn yr Amwisg drwy greu arddangosfa frand ar gyfer y Crair Sanctaidd. Creais gyfres o bosteri Realiti Estynedig yn datgelu gwybodaeth y tu hwnt i'r hyn y gall ein llygad ei weld, gan ddynwared pwynt mewn hanes lle yr aeth ffotograffydd o Ffrainc ati i wrth-droi ffotograff o'r Amwisg gan ddadguddio manylion a oedd wedi'u cuddio ers canrifoedd.
